Shadow Catchers is the name
early Native Americans gave photographers believing that as long as the
likeness of the thing existed the Shadow, or Spirit, of the photograph was
'caught'' in time.
Our work is dedicated to this
precept and to honoring the Spirit, Environment and History of the Pacific
Northwest region of the United States. Although our own Pacific
Northwest Photographer Edward Curtis is the most famous of the Shadow
Catchers, there are many others
forgotten or overlooked ~ we are changing that ~ and invite you to view
our Windows in Time.
